On the 11th and 12th of May, the Grand Jury met at the CVR Beira Interior, in Guarda, for the 2nd phase of the Contest, when they elected the Great Gold Awards and the Best of the Year, which were revealed at the Dinner and Award Ceremony Awards that took place on the 12th of May, at the Logistic Center of Pinhel.
This ViniPortugal initiative distinguished, for the 10th consecutive year, the best national wines for their unique quality, guiding and motivating producers to launch distinctive wines that contribute to positioning Portugal as a reference producer in export markets. In this context, and as in previous editions of the Contest, ViniPortugal also guarantees the presence of the winners of the Great Gold and Gold medals in international events that will take place during the year.
As well as distinguishing the best wines on the national market, the Wines of Portugal Contest is a meeting point for national and international producers and specialists who, for a week, share experiences and create synergies between them.
